Silvianna is a client for https://anilist.co (hereafter simply called “AniList”), the popular anime and manga database service. In order to provide its functionality, Silvianna interacts with AniList to retrieve and update data associated with your AniList account. This may include information you have chosen to make available on AniList.
At this time, the primary networking interactions performed by the app occur between Silvianna and AniList, and between Silvianna and Apple’s servers.
Silvianna does not operate developer-controlled backend servers and does not currently transmit AniList data to third parties beyond what is required to provide the app’s functionality.
App Usage and Data Access
The following points describe how the Silvianna app works and what data may be accessed as a result of its use:
- Silvianna uses the official AniList API in order to function.
- Because Silvianna interacts with AniList, you should review the AniList Privacy Policy. AniList may collect and store information when you create an account, use their website, or use their API.
- Silvianna performs HTTP requests against AniList’s servers to retrieve and update your anime and manga lists, as well as related account information.
Account Authorization
- When you authorize Silvianna to access your AniList account, the app does not receive your login credentials (such as email address or password).
- Authentication is performed directly on AniList’s website via a web view.
- After successful authentication and your approval, AniList provides Silvianna with an access token.
- This token allows the app to access and modify your AniList data as needed for features such as list management.
- The access token is stored on your device and is used solely to provide Silvianna’s functionality.
- Information accessed through this authorization is not shared with third parties by Silvianna.
Data Access, Storage, and Synchronization
- Silvianna does not maintain its own independent backend or user database.
- User data displayed or modified by Silvianna is stored primarily on AniList, a third-party service, and is accessed via the AniList API.
- Silvianna reads data from AniList and writes user-initiated changes (such as list updates or tracking progress) directly back to AniList.
- For performance and usability, limited data may be temporarily cached on your device. This cached data can be removed by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app.
- Authentication credentials or tokens may be stored securely using Apple-provided services such as the iCloud Keychain to allow sign-in across your devices.
Analytics and Diagnostics
- Silvianna does not currently use third-party analytics or tracking frameworks within the app.
- Silvianna may make use of system-provided diagnostics and crash reports supplied by the operating system or App Store. These are handled according to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- In the future, Silvianna may introduce optional, privacy-preserving analytics or diagnostics to improve app stability and features.
- Any such additions will avoid collecting personally identifiable information and will be reflected in an updated version of this Privacy Policy.
Children’s Privacy
Silvianna is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Website Usage
The silvianna.app website uses Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics, such as page visits and referral sources. This information is used to understand general website traffic and improve the site.
