Silvianna 26.2 — A quieter update with meaningful refinements

26.2 focuses on screens you interact with frequently. The Character, Staff, and Media views have been updated to be more consistent with the rest of the app. The goal of this release is to improve clarity, layout, and control, without changing how you already use Silvianna day to day.

Redesigned Media screen

The Media screen has been rewritten. It presents information more clearly and behaves more consistently across different devices.
Trailers no longer play inside Silvianna. When you tap one, it opens in the YouTube app or Safari. This gives you proper controls, comments, recommendations, and a better experience than the limited inline player. You can view relations from any anime or manga. Navigating through connected titles is faster and less confusing.

Some media will now be gated using new Apple APIs to comply with regulations in certain regions.

Character and Staff improvements

Character pages now let you sort appearances and optionally limit the list to media you already follow.
The design has been updated to match the Liquid Glass style used throughout the app.

Staff pages have also been redesigned. Anime roles and manga roles are separated into their own sections. Sorting options are available and you can filter to only see works from your list. Voice actor roles now show both the character and the anime that character appears in, instead of listing only the character name. This gives proper context at a glance, makes it easier to recognize where each role comes from, and helps you connect voice actors to the series you already know or want to explore.

Markdown parser rewrite

Character and staff descriptions on AniList are often messy and full of formatting quirks.
Silvianna now uses a more capable markdown parser so long descriptions display properly without breaking layout.

Safari Extensions

A new Safari extension is available. If you open AniList or MyAnimeList links in Safari and the URL points to supported content, you can jump directly into Silvianna. This makes adding media from the web much quicker.

Fixes and polish

Several small issues have been addressed to reduce friction:

These changes do not introduce large new features. They make core areas behave better and remove small annoyances that get in the way of daily use.
